Day01: Go Procedural User Guide Part 1 & 2

Today was the first day we enter Side Effects Software Inc.

We met up with Ms Aliza, Mr Ari, other staffs as well as the interns.
All of them are very nice.
Given a tour around the office
Showed us how to get started working around the office.

We were asked to go through the "Go Procedural User Guide" if we haven already.

The tutorial talked about procedural approach to modeling the geometry.

 

Basically Houdini creates this bunch of nodes, which is like a history list of the steps taken to create the geometry. What's really cool about the procedural approach is the fact that user are able to go back in history and make changes and the following nodes down the tree(pipeline) will get updated as well.
